Private Equity Asymmetrical Bets
To be an accredited investor, and have the ability to invest in private equity, you must have a $1Million+ Liquid net worth, make over $200,000 per year as a single person or $300,000 per year combined family income. This may also be accomplished by passing the series 65 and registering yourself with Finra as an investment advisor.
Having accredited status allows you to get into early start ups and other private companies prior to the rest of the public being able to invest, thus giving you the most upside potential.
If you are like I was prior to last year, the best way to go about this is passing your series 65, and using Linqto to invest. They offer private equity positions as low as $10,000 to start investing. If you had bought Coinbase there at $35 per share last year you could have 10x your money when you sold at $350 on the day Coinbase IPO’d earlier this year.
The Investments in the link below are also available on Linqto and likely to have similar results.
My favorites are:
Uphold – Crypto and stock Exchange
Ripple – Enterprise banking software solutions
Kraken – First Bank to custody Crypto
Just Eat – Plant based animal products
Automation Anywhere –cognitive robotic process automation
Standard Cognition – AI-powered autonomous checkout solutions
Carbon – 3D printing
Zipline – Drone Delivery
Greg Kid is a Partial Owner in Uphold, Linqto, Ripple, and Digital ID.
Anything he is involved in Creates Huge Multiples on returns.
If I had limited funds and had to pick 2 options on this platform, they would be Ripple and Uphold.
